We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Chief Engineer to join our LNG vessel and become an important part of a professional, safety-focused and well-organized crew.Position: Chief EngineerVessel Type: LNG CarrierContract: Long-term / Rotation basisJoining: As soon as availableSalary: Competitive, depending on experience and qualificationsKey Responsibilities• Take overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s engine department.• Ensure reliable operation, maintenance and performance of main engine, auxiliary engines and all machinery systems.• Supervise and coordinate all engine-room operations and maintenance activities.• Plan and monitor preventive and planned maintenance in accordance with company procedures and PMS.• Ensure safe and efficient operation of LNG-related machinery, cargo support systems and associated equipment.• Supervise, train and manage engine-room officers and ratings.• Ensure compliance with company SMS, ISM, MARPOL and other applicable regulations.• Monitor fuel consumption, machinery performance and overall engine-room efficiency.• Maintain accurate technical records, reports and documentation.• Liaise effectively with the Master, shore management, technical department, service engineers and other parties.• Ensure the engine department is prepared for inspections, audits, port operations and emergencies.• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe working practices throughout the engine department.Requirements• Valid STCW certification and relevant Chief Engineer CoC.• Valid medical certificate and all required STCW certificates.• Valid LNG / Advanced Gas Tanker training and certification as applicable.• Previous experience as Chief Engineer on LNG/LPG or other gas carriers preferred.• Strong technical knowledge of marine propulsion, auxiliary machinery and engine-room systems.• Good knowledge of LNG vessel machinery and associated systems.• Experience with planned maintenance systems and technical documentation.• Good command of written and spoken English.• Strong leadership, communication and team-management skills.• High level of safety awareness and professional responsibility.• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.We Offer• Competitive salary and attractive employment package• Stable employment with a reputable company• Professional and supportive working environment• Good crew and strong safety culture• Opportunities for long-term cooperation and career development• Full support from experienced shore managementIf you are an experienced Chief Engineer looking for a stable and professional position on an LNG vessel, we would be pleased to hear from terested candidates are invited to submit their CV, certificates and relevant sea-service experience for consideration.
